The Bible Is For Others

If God has given you a Bible, He has not given it to you just for you. He has given it to you to share with others. Bible knowledge is not to be stagnant in you. We are not to be hoarders of Bible truth. It is not to be like the Dead Sea, going nowhere and doing nothing. It is not supposed to rot within you. It is to be alive and growing in you. God plans for it to change you and your life and the lives of others.

2 Timothy 4:2: Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

2 Timothy 2:2: And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

2 Thessalonians 3:1: Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you:

Matthew 28:19a: Go ye therefore, and teach all nations,

God*s plan for the Bible is to sanctify His children, to set them apart from the world.

John 17:17: Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

When God saves us, He gives us a desire to do His will and for others to do it. It is foolish to quench that desire. His Word is a vital part of getting His will done.

Isaiah 55:11: So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

Matthew 6:10b: Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
